When does the Call for Speakers open and close?
The Call for Speaker opens October 14, 2019, and closes November 15, 2019.
What topic should I submit for consideration for the 2020 OKHR State Conference?
We have created topic tracks associated with the theme of the Conference, “Better, Faster, Stronger” (See below). We are seeking a diverse representation of speakers, topics, and levels of content.
- Better – Diversity and Inclusion
- Faster – Centers of Expertise (HRIS, Recruiting, etc.), Total Rewards (Wellness, Benefits, Compensation, etc.), Department of 1
- Stronger – Leadership and Legal
How long is each session?
Each breakout session is one hour long.
What is the compensation structure for breakout speakers?
OKHR is not able to pay a fee to breakout speakers; however, we may be able to assist with some expenses. In addition, speakers will receive a complimentary day pass to the conference.
Will speakers receive feedback from breakout sessions participants once the conference is complete?
OKHR does solicit feedback on each session via the conference app. We will do our best to pass along that feedback to breakout speakers in a timely manner once the conference is closed.
Will we be able to download our presentations to the conference app prior to our session?
Yes, the conference app will have the capability to have your presentation downloaded for participant consumption.
Can I submit more than one session?
Can I promote any products or services during my session?
No, we ask that you do not use your time with our audience to promote your business in any way. This should be an education time and not utilized as a sales pitch.
If my proposal is not accepted, will I receive notification?
Yes, all submittals will receive a notification, regardless of the outcome.
When will I receive notification about my proposal?
You can expect to hear back regarding your proposal by Mid-January 2020, regardless of the outcome.
