Emotional Intelligence for Effective Conflict Management
Participants will walk away with awareness of their personal EQ and conflict mode, and tips and techniques to increase their emotional intelligence to manage conflict effectively. Additionally, by attending this session, they will be able to manage and improve relationships in a diverse team or organization, create trust between team members, peers, and leaders for increased team effectiveness and save time and cost by solving problems effectively.
An ex-probation/parole officer, Lewana Harris is a development instructor for a Fortune 500 energy company and her areas of expertise are Situational Leadership, DISC, Building Inclusive Teams, resolution training, crisis training, and managing and valuing diversity. Just to name a few. She has served on various boards and is currently (2019) President Elect for ATD Tulsa Chapter. Lewana is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She also completed the Human Relations Master's program with a focus in organizational development, graduating with a 4.0. She is committed to enlightening, encouraging, and empowering others to activate their full potential. As part of the Organizational Development Team,she is responsible for motivating, developing and retaining employees by providing the tools needed for development to enhance their leadership skills, team productivity, and overall personal growth.
