Who should attend the 2020 Conference & Expo?
The conference is designed to educate, motivate and develop managers and individual employees who handle, or are involved in, any part of the human resource function of their company. It offers beginning, intermediate and advanced level education sessions for businesses of all sizes. Speakers include national, regional and local experts in the human resource field.
When and where is the conference?
The 2020 OKHR Conference will take place on April 20th (Pre-Conference Activities) April 21st -23rd (general conference). It will be held Hard Rock Casino and Convention Center. Visit our Venue page to learn more.
Can I bring guests or children with me to the conference?
Guest passes are available for some functions. Email eat0@eau0eav0eaw0 to inquire. As this conference is an educational event designed for human resource professionals, children are not permitted.
What is the appropriate attire for the conference?
Business casual attire is suggested for all events during the conference. Dressing in layers or bringing a sweater or light jacket is recommended during the day. The meeting rooms can get chilly.
Are there any volunteer opportunities at the conference?
There are many volunteer opportunities available. You must be a registered attendee to volunteer. If you would like to be contacted, indicate your interest when registering for the conference, or email eat0@eau0eav0eaw0 if you have already registered.
What is the cost to attend?
The 2020 OKHR Conference has been established to offer human resource professionals a local and affordable resource for obtaining valuable education. With this goal in mind, we have established a variety of registration options designed to meet the needs of our varied members; including One-Day Education Passes and special rates for SHRM members, local chapter members, and students. In addition, early registration discounts are available to anyone who wishes to attend. View registration options and pricing info.
What does the registration price include?
The Full Conference registration fee includes unlimited attendance of all education sessions offered during all three days of the event, free access during the conference to our Expo Hall, receptions, meals and snacks, full access to nationally known keynote speakers, and unlimited networking opportunities with over 700 state and regional human resource professionals.
Are there any discounts available?
Discounts are available for SHRM members, local chapter members, and students. View registration options and pricing info.
Are there any group discounts available?
Companies or organizations sending five or more individuals to attend the full conference may take advantage of a 10% discount. The discount will apply to the regular (not early) rate. Discounts do not apply to conference add-ons. To qualify:
- All attendees from the company or organization must be registered at one time, by submitting a group registration form.
- The group must be paid for in a single payment by the company or organization. • Individual cancellations will not be allowed if it causes the group to drop below five people, but substitutions may be made.

Can I attend one day of the conference?
Yes, a One-Day Education Pass is available and gives you access to all sessions, meals and keynotes for the day you choose.
How can payments be made?
Payments may be made by credit card when registering, or by mailing a check or purchase order. If mailing a check or purchase order, follow the instructions provided on your invoice. To take advantage of early registration discounts, you must register and pay by the date indicated. Note that if payment is not made before the early registration deadline ends, the discount will be removed and you will receive a revised invoice for the appropriate amount. All payments are due no later than March 31, 2020. Credit card charges will appear as OKHR on your statement.
What if I need to send someone in my place?
To best accommodate your needs, the OKHR Conference does allow for substitution of registrations with certain restrictions. Should you need to transfer your registration to another person, you may do so by sending a request to eat0@eau0eav0eaw0 with the name and email address of the person to transfer it to. Once approved, we will send the new registrant a link to update your registration with his or her information. If the new registrant is not eligible for discounts you received, they will be responsible for any balance due. However, no refund will be made if they are eligible for additional discounts.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
Should you need to cancel your registration, you must do so no later than March 31, 2020. A $50 cancellation fee applies to all registration types. If you have not paid at the time of cancellation, you will be invoiced for the $50 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations after March 31st. Requests for cancellations should be submitted by email to eat0@eau0eav0eaw0. Your cancellation is not complete until acknowledged by OKHR. Instead of canceling, consider transferring your registration to another individual.
What happens if I register but do not attend?
If you register but do not attend or cancel your registration, there are no refunds. If you have not paid, your registration will remain due and you will be invoiced in full.
Will my contact information be shared with others?
General attendee information is shared with our Resource Partners as a part of their vendor package.
Can I plan which sessions I will attend before the conference starts?
Yes, this can be done using the Mobile App. Watch for details by email about how to download and use the app a few weeks before the conference begins.
Can I download speaker presentations and handouts?
Yes, this can be done using the Mobile App. Watch for details by email about how to download and use the app a few weeks before the conference begins. Please note not all speakers make their presentations or handouts available for download.
How do I get my SHRM certification & HRCI credits for participation?
A form will be made available at the conference to keep track of the codes and credit hours of the courses you attend. You must then report your attendance with HRCI and/or SHRM after the conference is complete.
How many credit hours is the conference approved for?
The full conference will be submitted for CEU approval from both SHRM and HRCI. Once approval has been received details will be shared.
The OKHR State Council is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. Information regarding credits is subject to change. The final details will be shared with attendees after the conference. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.
The OKHR State Council is recognized by HRCI to offer recertification credit hours toward aPHR™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™, and SPHRi™ recertification. Which sessions can I attend to earn HRCI Business Credits?
Sessions valid for HRCI Business Credit will be marked accordingly in the schedule of the conference app. The app will be released a few weeks before the conference.
