The conference is designed to educate, motivate and develop managers and individual employees who handle, or are involved in, any part of the human resource function of their company. It offers beginning, intermediate and advanced level education sessions for businesses of all sizes. Speakers include national, regional and local experts in the human resource field.

The 2019 OKHR Conference, "TransformHR" will take place on Tuesday, May 7 (Pre-Conference Activities) and Wednesday, May 8 to Friday, May 10 (general conference). It will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Visit our Venue page to learn more.

Guest passes are available for some functions. Email registration@okhr.org to inquire. As this conference is an educational event designed for human resource professionals, children are not permitted.

Business casual attire is suggested for all events during the conference. Dressing in layers or bringing a sweater or light jacket is recommended during the day. The meeting rooms can get chilly.

There are many volunteer opportunities available. You must be a registered attendee to volunteer. If you would like to be contacted, indicate your interest when registering for the conference, or email registration@okhr.org if you have already registered.

Registration Questions

The 2019 OKHR Conference has been established to offer human resource professionals a local and affordable resource for obtaining valuable education. With this goal in mind, we have established a variety of registration options designed to meet the needs of our varied members; including One-Day Education Passes and special rates for SHRM members, local chapter members, and students. In addition, early registration discounts are available to anyone who wishes to attend. View registration options and pricing info.

The Full Conference registration fee includes unlimited attendance of all education sessions offered during all three days of the event, free access during the conference to our Expo Hall, receptions, meals and snacks, full access to nationally known keynote speakers, and unlimited networking opportunities with over 800 state and regional human resource professionals.

Companies or organizations sending five or more individuals to attend the full conference may take advantage of a 10% discount. The discount will apply to the regular (not early) rate. Discounts do not apply to conference add-ons. To qualify:

  • All attendees from the company or organization must be registered at one time, by submitting a group registration form.
  • The group must be paid for in a single payment by the company or organization.
  • Individual cancellations will not be allowed if it causes the group to drop below five people, but substitutions may be made.

Yes, a One-Day Education Pass is available and gives you access to all sessions, meals and keynotes for the day you choose.

Payments may be made by credit card when registering, or by mailing a check or purchase order. If mailing a check or purchase order, follow the instructions provided on your invoice. To take advantage of early registration discounts, you must register and pay by the date indicated. Note that if payment is not made before the early registration deadline ends, the discount will be removed and you will receive a revised invoice for the appropriate amount. All payments are due no later than April 10, 2019. Credit card charges will appear as "factor 110" on your statement.

To best accommodate your needs, the OKHR Conference does allow for substitution of registrations with certain restrictions. Should you need to transfer your registration to another person, you may do so by sending a request to registration@okhr.org with the name and email address of the person to transfer it to. Once approved, we will send the new registrant a link to update your registration with his or her information. If the new registrant is not eligible for discounts you received, they will be responsible for any balance due. However, no refund will be made if they are eligible for additional discounts.

Should you need to cancel your registration, you must do so no later than April 10, 2019. A $50 cancellation fee applies to all registration types. If you have not paid at the time of cancellation, you will be invoiced for the $50 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for cancellations after April 10. Requests for cancellations should be submitted by email to registration@okhr.org. Your cancellation is not complete until acknowledged by OKHR. Instead of cancelling, consider transferring your registration to another individual.

If you register but do not attend or cancel your registration, there are no refunds. If you have not paid, your registration will remain due and you will be invoiced in full.

General attendee information is shared with our Resource Partners as a part of their vendor package.

A form will be made available at the conference to keep track of the codes and credit hours of the courses you attend. You must then report your attendance with HRCI and/or SHRM after the conference is complete.

Yes. It will be held Tuesday, May 7 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm and Wednesday, May 8 from 8:00 am - Noon. Breakfast will be provided

The full conference (excluding any optional pre-conference sessions) has been approved for 14.25 PDCs toward SHRM re-certification and/or 14.25 General (HR) Credits toward HRCI re-certification. Of those 14.25 HRCI Credits, up to 11.25 Business Credits may be obtained if you attend sessions valid for Business Credit. These sessions will be indicated as such on the schedule in the conference app.

In addition, those attending the optional pre-conference session “Creating a Culture of Employee Engagement” (Wednesday at 8:00 am) can receive an additional 3 SHRM PDCs and/or 3 HRCI General (HR) Credits.

Those attending the optional pre-conference session “Achieving the ROI of a Positive Workplace Environment is Easier Than You Think” (Wednesday at 9:00 am) can receive an additional 2 SHRM PDCs and/or HRCI Business Credits.

Those attending the optional pre-conference Executive Forum (Wednesday at 8:30 am) can receive additional credits. Details pending.

The three sessions above run concurrently, so only one session may be attended.

Those attending the optional pre-conference session “The Threads That Connect a High Performance Culture” (Tuesday at 8:00 am) can receive additional credits. Details pending.

The OKHR State Council is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. Information regarding credits is subject to change. Final details will be shared with attendees after the conference. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org

The OKHR State Council is recognized by HRCI to offer recertification credit hours toward aPHR™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™ recertification. Information regarding credits is subject to change. Final details will be shared with attendees after the conference. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit the HR Certification Institute website at www.hrci.org.

Sessions valid for HRCI Business Credit will be marked accordingly in the schedule of the conference app. The app will be released a few weeks before conference.

When You Arrive

Badges can be picked up at the Registration Desk, which is located in the Convention Center near the Oklahoma Ballroom. It will be open:

  • Tuesday | 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (for those attending pre-conference or SHRM Certification course)
  • Wednesday | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Thursday | 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Friday | 7:00 am - 1:30 pm

Please be sure to pick up your badge before participating in any sessions. For security reasons, you are required to wear your badge to all sessions, receptions, and whenever you are in the conference area.

WiFi will be available for attendees. Check at the Registration Desk for credentials.
